In making decisions about the future of Shire Hall, ECC will:

• ensure any future uses of the building deliver a sustainable financial model that generates income to benefit the residents of Essex.
• Favour proposals that can demonstrate flair and innovation in conserving the important heritage aspects of the building.
• require uses that enable a continuation of public access to the building.
