The nearby hamlet of Eaton has a well known Public House and the larger villages of Cumnor and Appleton are both about 2 miles distant and have highly regarded primary schools and other facilities with Cumnor also having a number of local shops. Oxford mainline station is about 5 miles distant and provides regular train services to London (Paddington) as well as connections to other parts of the country.

Directions

Leaving Oxford on the A420 from the Botley interchange, continue for approximately 1.5 miles before exiting on the slip road signposted Cumnor and Appleton.  Turn right at the T-junction and right again at the subsequent T-junction.  Bear left into Cumnor village along the Abingdon Road, passing The Vine public house on your right hand side.  At the mini roundabout, bear left on to the Appleton Road and continue along this road for approximately 1 mile.  After two sharp bends, you will see a signpost for Eaton village, bear right at the sign and continue along this road passing The Eight Bells public house on your right, continuing down the hill for a further 0.6 a mile when Long Meadow will be found on the left hand side.
