EDI’S INDIA QUAY SCHEME IN FOUNTAINBRIDGE OFFERS A UNIQUE CHANCE TO CO-INVEST IN A PRIME CITY CENTRE MIXED USE SCHEME.

Extensive plans have been created to redevelop the 8.2 acre site at Fountainbridge. Bordering the Union Canal and within walking distance to Princes Street and Haymarket station, India Quay will be a new city centre district. The plan is to deliver 405 residential units, with ground-floor restaurants, bars and retail, a new arts cinema, a four-star hotel and 120,000 sq ft of office space; all centred around a new civic square. There is a significant opportunity to deliver bespoke private rented sector accommodation in a sustainable and thriving neighbourhood in partnership with the City of Edinburgh Council’s development arm, EDI.

The carefully considered mix of uses and overall design principals will ensure that India Quay becomes an exciting new city centre destination for shopping, working and living.

DESIGN FOR PRIVATE RENTED SECTOR HOUSING

 

All data room users should note that the design published on the data room is not in final form and should not be treated as a final design.  The design has not yet been co-ordinated between structures and M&E.  The drawings are intended to show current work in progress and to give an indication of what the final design will comprise.  The design team are currently at the mid-point of Stage 2 design and are due to complete Stage 2 design at the beginning of April.  Updated drawings will be shared as and when appropriate.

Bidders should take the above into account when preparing their bids for the site.  EDI Fountainbridge Limited does not accept liability to the bidders for any loss, costs, expenses or claims whatsoever arising as a result of the bidders’ reliance on the draft design in preparing their bids for the site.
