While the two Michelin starred Ledbury may be the world renowned jewel in the area’s culinary crown, a host of other superb restaurants are within easy reach. Granger & Co’s relaxed atmosphere and the Dock Kitchen’s canal side charm - to name but two - are both complemented perfectly by their superb food. Then there are the mouth-watering delights of The Electric Brasserie, Portobello Organic Kitchen and First Floor Restaurant.

Parks

As well as being located in one of London’s most thriving and cosmopolitan neighbourhoods, Argyll Place is at close quarter to many of the capital’s finest green spaces.

Kensington Memorial Park borders the rear of Argyll Place putting it quite literally on your doorstep and Holland Park to the South and Queens Park to the North, are both within walking distance.

Kensington Gardens puts 275 acres of greenery at your disposal and is home to the Italian Gardens, Albert Memorial, Serpentine Gallery and the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Playground.

Adjoining Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park, another of London’s eight royal parks, benefits from 350 acres of parkland and offers everything from open water swimming and horse riding to concerts.

Culture

As well as style, culture abounds the area of North Kensington. Holland Park Theatre is an open air theatre in the grounds of the beautiful and historic Holland Park House. Its annual summer opera season is a particular highlight of its programme.

The Gate in Notting Hill may seat only 70 people, but is a true powerhouse of UK theatre with a wholly international focus. Local cinemas include The Gate, Lexi and The Electric, screening the world’s finest films and offering a unique ambience unlike the usual multiplex experience.

Argyll Place offers superb transport links which put the amazing cluster of museums - The V&A, Science Museum and Natural History Museum - at South Kensington and the Serpentine Gallery within easy reach.

Fitness & Sport’s Clubs

As well as an abundance of nearby green spaces perfect for running and cycling there are a host of other sports clubs and gyms in the local area.

Virgin Active’s Notting Hill branch is 10 minutes’ walk away and offers a gym, spa, pool and host of exercise classes and other related services. Portobello Green Fitness Club is equally close, being 11 minutes’ walk away.

The upmarket Harbour Club, which is often cited as one of London’s finest fitness and rackets clubs is also nearby.

Finally, for tennis purists, the world famous Queens Club, Britain’s oldest sports club, is in West Kensington and Holland Park Lawn Tennis Club is close by.
